Encouraging progress in the treatment of certain food allergies
No parent should live in constant fear of accidental exposure.
Living with a food allergy means learning to check every label, every snack, every birthday party. It’s a constant vigilance. A silent... but very real anxiety.
At Allergo, we understand this reality. Our commitment is simple: to help children live more freely and allow their parents to regain peace of mind.
That's why we are constantly developing innovative solutions that genuinely help families live more peacefully.

Oral immunotherapy:
an alternative to strict avoidance
In young children, oral immunotherapy is a recognized approach to promote desensitization in patients with an established diagnosis, while also representing a prevention avenue for those with a predisposition to developing food allergies, within the clinical and regulatory frameworks in force
in Quebec.
Oral immunotherapy (OIT) offers a gentle and gradual approach for infants and young children living with food allergies. Through supervised administration of very small doses of allergens, gradually increased over time, the immune system gradually learns to better tolerate the food.

A project that offers hope
This pediatric project, carried out in collaboration with the CHUL, the Capitale Allergy Clinic (CSAC) and Allergo, has been active since the beginning of 2025. It is part of a continuous improvement process for pharmaceutical and clinical services aimed at the development, preparation and supervision of oral allergen suspensions for the treatment of food allergies, particularly to peanuts, hazelnuts, sunflowers and other allergens recognized in clinical practice.
In accordance with applicable good practices, the protein content of allergens is rigorously quantified before their preparation as oral suspensions. Following a clinical evaluation by an allergist, patients are prescribed an individualized treatment, adapted to the specific needs of each child. This individualization is carried out using two distinct predefined concentrations for each allergen, ensuring the safety, traceability and reproducibility of the preparations.
The project aims to offer a supervised therapeutic option for the management of food allergies when conventional treatments, particularly injectables, are deemed less appropriate due to their risk profile. It also contributes to the improvement and enhancement of the register of food allergens managed, which allows for structured monitoring of the annual evolution of encountered allergens, in coherence with the clinical needs observed within the pediatric population served.
Because behind every allergy, there's a child who simply wants to grow up... and parents who want to breathe more freely.
